Bass Mafia Ice Box

Bought a couple of these boxes in the 3600 size. While the boxes seem really nice theres a couple things off with them. First they were stuck together so well with the gasket i had to pry them open with a screwdriver the first time. Secondly the latches dont seem very secure. They really have no detent to the latch its almost more of a light friction fit. Is this normal for bass mafia boxes?

I do enjoy not wrestling to get the boxes open but the first time they come open on accident will be the last. It may be possible the gaskets are permanently compressed and not creating enough latch pressure but from the looks of the latch itself theres just not much detent built into it.

Looking for feedback on if I should keep these or not?
