New to family. 2016 201 evo prop?

New to the family. New to me boast bought last month. Still getting a feel for what she likes but have seen 71 tournament loaded with full wells and tank. Running a 25raker 4blade. Anyone have any prop recommendations to speed up without sacrificing bow lift?

I should add I’m running about 5300-5400 rpm at 70-71mph at 5 on the plate and 90% trim. Previous owner setup and running numbers. He reported 72-74 loaded. I am hearing this boat with the g2 250ho should be a rocket but those numbers don’t reflect rocket. More industry standard numbers. I have seen 520 rangers with same engine run 72

what is redine seems to be low on rpms? 300-400 more rpms is several mph likely boat should be upper 70s with a 250 if not slightly into 80s? why run full of fuel? that is 350 lbs likely?

fish from a 201 pro with 250 merc and it hits 76-78 constantly in am on launches?

Are you sure it’s a Raker 4 blade? Raker is a 3 blade prop.

Never trust what the prior owner told you for speed unless you saw it yourself. That boat should be 74-75mph, but Ultrex/poles/3 graphs adds a lot of weight. How much your tourney load is, could be a lot more than the prior owners load.
Mine is a little older, but I have to trim mine out all the way until I feel it get up on pad, then trim it back down a few bumps. Prolly 75% trim. Prop to pad should be somewhere around 3”. +/- 0.75” depending on load and prop.
3 blade Raker or Tempest will be the fastest props on that hull.

Full fuel for a 30 mile run to current. Didn’t need nearly that much but again...new boat. It has an rx4. Not a raker. I assumed the rx was the raker. Never owned anything but the black devil. Our tournament load is fairly heavy and it does have lots of goodies. I’m not upset with the speed I have and tbh I don’t want to loose lift and others have told me I will with a 3 blade. But it is definitely interesting thought to spin that g2 up to 6000 and see what she would do

The 4 blade should give you stern lift. It should run flatter with that prop and not need that much trim if it is setup properly. That hull Really needs a lot of bow lift and not stern lift to gain max speed. The Tempest or Raker will give you more bow lift than most other props. Have seen a few people have good results from running the Bravo 4 blade, but every boat I have helped set up for speed are running 3 blades.
If you run a lot of heavy rough water, you might stick with the RX4, but I would run a 3 blade if you can find one to borrow/test. That hull is also very sensitive to prop shaft height. Need to make sure you are not too high or low or it will ride like a log truck and not be very fast.

I’d consider trying a factory 25 pitch fury it was a Mercury but my buddy and fellow member here ran 80 full tourney load. I run same prop fully loaded with blades 75 with 2 guys.

Ask Mike Lohn in the props forum, but i'd think a Raker or tempest plus which will be three blades since you're needing lift like a stratos does.

I think you need to try a raker ho 26 pitch. The G2 I had on my falcon liked to turn a bigger eared prop around 5600-5700. I could spin more rpms, but I wasn’t faster. You might check with mark croxton. I know of another guy than ran a raker 2 in 28 pitch and got 76-77gps loaded. I’ve been lookin for a nice used evo with a G2 myself. So, I’m interested to see how yours will do. Tried and rx4 on my G2 and it didn’t run well at all.

As stated above a 4 blade raker doesn’t exist. Get your hands on a good 25 fury 3 if you’re not running heavy. If you want a good driving prop that will carry a load well look at a 27 Bravo 1xs or 26 razor xl.
