1998 champion DC with 2012 Mercury pro XS 200. Motor set up

This 190 DC was re-powered in 2012. Runs 5150 to 5200 RPMs 64 - 65 mph with a 25 pitch tempest. I measured the prop level and it appears to be 4 3/4” below the keel. If anyone knows the right height to set the motor and combination for the prop I would be grateful. Before the boat was re-powered, it would run 72 mph With one passenger my fishing gear and a half a tank of fuel.

The boat will tell you what's correct. No two hulls/motors/props are exactly identical. So that means you need to find out what's too high, and what's too low then and only then will you know what's right on YOUR rig.

You're probably a little low right now if : rpms are low/roostertail flat/steering is numb. If those are your symptoms, start moving up 1/4" at a time until you lose lift/speed/water pressure below15. Then back down a click and THEN you'll know what's correct.
