Looking for a newer boat, which model?

6-8 years old, budget is $25,000-$35,000. Priorities-

1. Good rough water ride
2. 70 mph
3. 50 gal gas tank
4. Decent fuel economy
5. 20' minimum

My first bass boat was a 99 TR-21 and the last 2 have been an 04/05 TR-196 which did everything well but handle rough water well. I don't need power poles or huge graphs or 75+mph.

Suggestions?

I'd say any of the 20-21X, XHP, XS hulls would be great for what you're looking for. The XS hulls are great rough water boats. I had a 20 XS Elite and it handled lake erie chop great and would hit over 70 on calm water. Great mix of speed and ride.

I love my 2012 20XS. I’ve fished it from FL to the Great Lakes. It rides sooooo much better than the newer hulls. I know, I’ve ridden many, many hours in the trx hull over the past 2 years. I repowered a little over 3 yrs.ago and I’m strongly considering another repower to the 4 stroke. I had the seats reupholstered similar to Caymas, but my padding is much better. I can’t really say anybody has anything worth today’s new boat prices that would improve what I already have. My vote is an XS hull. You can find them in the mid to high 30’s...... just not this one😎

That is one damn nice lookin boat ya got there. Don’t think I’d want to part with that one neither.
