I added a 6” plate on my little 17 explorer with a 115 opti.
I set the prop to pad at 3.75
Will that measurement be safe? I do not currently have a water pressure gauge. Just want to make sure.

You will be fine with 3.5 or deeper. Any further up and you will NEED a water pressure gauge. I would get one anyway.
