I have an HDS live, if I add a Carbon unit can I network the two and display the Active imaging on the Carbon as well? Any other hardware than the network connection required?

You can do any networking you want between Carbon and Live. You could even connect your AI directly to the Carbon.

AI 3 in 1 is just a transducer. It does 2D, sidescan, and Downscan. It will connect directly to a Carbon. I have no idea what converter you are talking about. If you already have an AI connected to a Live, an Ethernet connection between the Live and the Carbon will allow sharing of any sonar data between the two.
