Lake greenwood

I'm new to the area from massachusetts just relocated. I fished hartwell and it was excellent. Am thinking of trying lake greenwood was looking for some input on if it fishes good and what I should look out for navigating the lake.

Greenwood is no problem to Navigate. It is shallower overall than Hartwell, and fishes differently as well. Lots more quality largemouth since the spots havent taken over yet. Fish the many rocky banks with a crankbait and jerkbait right now. ALso, you can find a ton of brush on docks as well. Crappie fishing is phenomenal so brush is common in a lot of places. One of my favorite lakes to fish with the exception of summer. Sucks terrible then! I used to have a cabin down there before i bought a house at Murray.

Wait until you go to Jocassee you'll be ruined by the beauty of the lake.

Greenwood does a drawdown every winter so maybe you could get down there and check out some places when they’re dry. It also stains up with decent rainfall.

I live on Greenwood. Water levels falling fast this week. Down near 2.5 feet half way to winter pool. Rain coming so will probably stain a little and come back up some. Right now very clear on the dam end and just light stain upper end.loons back and sea gulls and migratory ducks arriving daily.
