same here I drive quite a bit for work, I got just shy of 100,000 on my 2017, I got coworkers and they have been through three of them all with over 100,000 miles, none of us has did anything other than change oil, tires and put gas in them. Their rock-solid in my opinion and my next truck will be another RAM. I think they’re all good trucks, I just like how quiet the truck is going down the road, also the comfort of them, plus I think they look nice. So for me what more could I want. I would just buy the truck that you feel the most comfortable in, if you take care of them I think they’re all pretty good.

F150 3.5l ecoboost for sure. Look up trade difference on kbb. The Ford has better resale value.

My 2019 Ram 1500 with 3.21 gears tows my 19 footer just fine. I'm sure it would tow your boat fine. If you get a ram with the 3.91 gears even better.
Or you can just flip a coin, I'm sure all these trucks are capable if you option them right (towing packages, gear ratios if they offer that option etc.)
I had a 2005 Ram Daytona and it was a great truck but the 2019 that I have now is light years ahead of the '05. Much quieter, rides better than my 2017 Charger Daytona, fuel mileage is night and day different, etc.,etc.
Perhaps you should give opinions on current trucks, not one based on a 15 year old truck.
3.5 ecoboost here and love it. Jusy turned 100k and zero issues. Tows my z9 great. My next truck will be another ecoboost.
I've always said, look at who is offering the biggest discounts, biggest saving and best deals.. then DONT buy that.. If they are having to cut prices to move stock, there's a reason and it's because people aren't buying them.. If people aren't buying them you shouldn't buy it either.
That being said: GMC/Chevy is where my money would be going if I was looking for a new truck. I'd love to get into a 2500 Denali, but really don't have enough justification to do that right now. My Terrain Denali tows my Stratos damn fine..

I've owned GMs (Chevy's and GMCs) for nearly 40 yrs. 2500 series with the 6.0 gas engine for nearly 15 years. Went with the Ram Mega Cab last year. 6.4 Hemi engine. Loved them all, they all loved to drink gas when towing. The Ram is by far the best riding and most comfortable I've owned. I'm averaging about 13-16 on the highway and about 10 when towing (I admit to having a heavy foot). The GMCs were slightly better on gas...but not significantly so. If I had to buy a new one tomorrow...I'll look to another Ram first. Like I said, best riding and most comfortable in the 2500 series.

The Ram is the best truck on the market right now. The Hemi is solid and tows great. If you are trying to stay under 50k on a new truck and have a decent motor the Hemi is really your only option. The Chevy 6.2 and the Ford 3.5 ecoboost do not come in the lower trims I dont believe.

If can wait till 2021 the 3.5 eco will get more power and torque. I think it will have over 500 Ft Lbs.
Ill take the truck built in the USA every time and after owning GMs it only leave Ford 3.5 eco...
