From another thread, makes me wonder if this company is supplying the new transducers for Hbird & Lowrance.

Good luck with that. At least Humminbird wasn’t dumb enough to come out with 4-5 year old panoptix technology and market it as a “game changer”

Yes they were and its pretty cool now. Anyway, some of us like livesight. Its been a great tool for me. It provides clean clear images and when combined with side and down images, very useful. It was never intended to be livescope. I plan on keeping it while running the Active Target. Both should enhance each other.

Looks awesome. Things are getting so good. It may sound morbid but on one of those links I thought of how well some of these things may work for search and rescue/recovery.

The Blueprint Subsea system is a professional system costing at least 10x as much as the leisure systems.

Either they have bought Starfish or Starfish has changed name to Blueprint Subsea.

I remember I visited Starfish pages a lot 8-10 years ago when CHIRP leisure sonar was introduced because Starfish had (and still has) the best explanation of CHIRP sonar available at the web.

Course will it be available and ship ready by the end of 2021? Maybe this has been addressed previously.

The transducers start at almost 15K and go up to over 20K. I doubt you will see them on recreational boats anytime soon except for maybe some of the high dollar saltwater boats.

Not my understanding at all. Lowrance was going to loose the law suit again in the appeals court. Instead of continuing the on going litigation both sides agreed to allow the sharing of tech.

I think the blueprint ist slightly different tech than just livescope or the new livesight. Look at the half sphere transmitter and flat receiver. Not present in livesight and livescope. Judging from the posted image, it will be comparable to livescope. Don't be fooled by pretty pictures: they used it at a drop off and therefore get the bottom into the picture and all distant objects are vertical tree stumps, so the blurring in the vertical isn't as visible. Looks really similar to Garmin. Maybe they got rid of the ghost tree, but that might come at the expense of sensitivity in this area. The new Garmin firmware can also remove it but it kills some fish in a certain area along with the ghost tree.
