Get your engine model number- very important, first then go here. http://shop2.evinrude.com/Index.aspx..._id=0&siteid=1

Select your year, hp and specific model number. Then Ignition system.

Use the 1996 model year, your motor has the gl in the model number.

Don't matter on the 60* they are all the same from 01-06. Be aware that they vary in length upper, middle and bottom are different. CDI makes a universal set # 931-4921.

I do not recommend any of the CDI products, stay with OEM. There are 3 different lengths, it's obvious when you look up P/N's Also, we don't have much trouble with those wires. If you have a problem, post it up, we can help.

I'll just sit over in the corner with my dunce cap on and refrain from making any other posts for awhile. Maybe until Elgin comes to his senses and comes back.

Why would you do that? I'm confused to say the least. If this is a problem, I did not post that you recommended CDI, only that I did not. I posted that he use the 1996 year to stop any confusion, the Evinrude site that bighare recommended does list 1991 and 1992 wires P/N's different than the other years, those P/N's are probably updated when ordering, but I don't know that. When going to that site it is obvious that there are 3 different lengths and the length of each is shown. Fred, I'm sure sorry if I posted something that offended you. I am the first to admit that you are one of the best. I don't always post the way I want it to be, too old to change.

As far as Elgin coming back, that would be the quickest way for me to ride off into the sunset. That might be a good thing.

I don't have time to look at my wires right now, but it sure seemed
like mine were all the same length.
Ill make sure to measure them before I buy.
    Thx for the tips.

If they are all the same length, they have been changed.
