    Finally got my new rifle!

Ordered this Browning Hell’s Canyon Speed Long Range in December 2019 and it came in last Monday. I’d ordered a .300 Win Mag but when came in, a .300 WSM came in as well so I decided to go with the WSM. I’ve got a .300 Win Mag barrel for my TC Encore and I’ve killed deer and elk with it but just thought it’d be neat to have the WSM. Anyway, I’m in no hurry but I’m looking forward to getting some good glass, and various boxes of ammo to shoot and see what it likes.

Nice, I've been thinking about getting one in 308 myself. Honestly with the 23" barrel length and short action the 300 wsm is more attractive in this rifle than the 300 wm with long action and 26" barrel. Granted each will be an awesome shooter in its own right, the rifle you chose will have a much shorter overall length making it a lot handier to carry.

Yes, 26” barrel. Before ordering I handled both models in a different calibers and preferred the 26” barrel.

26 " is definitely awesome for the long shots, but cumbersome to pack through the brush. ( my current rifle) hope you enjoy your new rifle, im sure its gonna be a tack driver.

Good switch. I prefer short actions.

Nice! My little brother has a Winchester .300 WSM, and it has been ol’ reliable. It honestly seems to have less felt recoil than a .300 Win Mag, and is not unpleasant to shoot off the bench. Great cartridge, and that Hell’s Canyon model is sexy.

Leupold VX-5 HD, Sawro Z3, or Swaro Z5. I’ll most likely go with the Leupold but I’m in no hurry. Going to order the MCARBO spring kit today for the trigger. I’m not worried about hunting with it this season (opens Saturday here in KY) so I’m just gradually getting what I need or want for it. I don’t even have any ammo yet.

I’d love to have a BAR MarkII Safari in either 30.06 or .300 Win. Love those BARs.

I have the Browning A-Bolt Medallion with a Nikon Monarch 2 to 8 in a 300 WSM its a tack driver I really like the gun and caliber. I am shooting 180 gr. winchester silver tips and they handle and group great.

I’ve heard great things about those silver tips. I’ll have to try some.

Take a look at the Zeiss Conquest, for the money they are great. Camera Land has the lowest prices when I purchased mine. 4.5x14 44mm for my 257 Wby Mag.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll check them out.
