If You Think You Are Smarter

If you think you are smarter than people 50 years ago, consider the following.
The manual in cars 50 years ago had instructions for adjusting the valves. Today’s car manual warns you not to drink the contents of the battery!

Got a 2019 Yukon Denali with Navigation screen in center of dash. I leave the house and driving along and Navigation system has pop up warning "taking my eyes off the road is dangerous". I have to take my eyes off the road to read the dammed thing and accept the warning to resume navigation????

The next time you go to use your ladder, read ALL of the warning stickers on it. Then put it away because: A) it's WAY too dangerous to use and B) you don't have time to do whatever it was because you spent a half hour reading the labels.

LOL ... The new vehicles are kinda like driving around with a cranky nanny in the vehicle with you. Beep Beep Beep if you don't turn on your signal fast enough when changing lanes.... Keep your eyes on the road ... and on and on.

There's one place I go where the road has a Y with a median in between .... I have to make sure I am well over to the right side of my lane when approaching to take the right turn or the car will slam on the brakes thinking I am going to hit the median.

Gotta say I really like the adaptive cruise control though.

My Subaru Ascent has a potty mouth. Got a text with the abbreviation "WTF" in it, asked the car to read the text and yup, she reads it as "what the f...k"

I would have been more careful to use all the same type bolt heads.

sure the fasteners may look mismatched but in reality they were precisely weighed and matched to maintain critical propeller balance .
