    LIVE HDS 7 Randomly Reboots

Problem started today with the unit randomly shutting off. Battery is an Optima Blue Top 31 fresh off the charger. Also have a Live HDS 9, 3-in-1 transducer, Livesight, Ghost w/ 3-in-1 transducer. All units have the latest software updates. Motor is on its' own battery, as well as trolling motor on its' own batteries. All connections were tight and no corrosion was noted. Any ideas? It is of course out of warranty.

    Thanks,
    Brian

Add VOLTAGE to your Sonar or Chart screen with EDIT OVERLAY to check your voltage. Sounds like a voltage issue somewhere. Wing nuts loose, loose connections, corrosion somewhere are hard to run down. Add some dielectric grease to the fittings to.

If you can, run the unit by Cabela's over your way and take it into the store for a quick hook up on their power.

Out again today where unit showed a battery voltage of 9.2v, but the console unit showed 11.7v. Put a digital meter on the battery and it was 12.1v. Can there be that much voltage drop in less than 10 feet of difference between the 2 units? All wiring is factory or Lowrance. Any ideas where to start?
