    My trim switch is missing...

'98 171... getting her ready to sell so I can get a bigger one.

The trim switch at the bow was missing when I got it. Today I popped the cap to install a new switch, and it's not as straight forward as I ASSumed it would be. I found a wad of labeled wires, none of which are for the trim. I also found a red, black and green that have been cut from the back of the connector. The trim at the driver seat and on the motor work properly, for what it's worth.

I can't find a wiring diagram... any ideas if these cut wires are for the trim?

    TIA

Most trim systems use red as 12 volts positive, blue wire to trim up and green wire to trim down.
May check any wires you locate for shorts to ground before powering up.

Yep. After reading these responses I went out with a flashlight and cleaned the "black" wire... it's blue. Stripped the tips, turned on the power, I have bow trim :-)... Thanks e'rybody!

Also, if you know anyone with a 206 for sale send them my way.

Here go, Red goes to the wiper (center, 12v), Blue on the bottom (Up trim) and green to the top (Down trim)

Has to do with map of a honey hole on Sam Rayburn that Cliff Kirby (guide on Bob Sandlin) drew on a napkin for me & Fred (ChampioNman) at the 2003 TOC. When we were ready to leave The Stump, Cliff took it with him. We obviously never found the spot ...

Good one. I guess Fred didn't let it go all day!

Come to think of it he may never forget it.
