If your livescope is 6" under the surface in setup you should have the install depth set to 0.5'
if your hds in on the transom at 20" under the surface there is a setting for that. That's 1.6'.
if either of them are not shooting straight down that can multiply an issue.
also it is possible even if everything is perfect one may be off by a couple tenths. Just in the programming or an internal error. I know this does happen by checking depth from the top of water in an ice hole. Trust me no way to have error other than how it is displayed even with matching units. May be the transducer wire has more resistance. Idk. But what I do know is it is only an issue if you make it one. I know you could set my units into German that I can't read but I will recognize what is the depth of the day and I will duplicate it.
I also know I don't like to offset my transducer install depth because then when it says 1.2 and I'm dragging the bottom of the lake with my hull. I'd rather know the depth between the transducer and the bottom.

Both are on the bow. LS shoots forward, HDS is down.
I guess thats the reason in the difference. Was just wondering???

Depending on your LS transducer height and your offsets on that and your HDS units there is a +/- variable. I've often noticed that LS appears to take the depth maybe a little out front of the transducer. Mine is about 1.5' difference usually.
