I do understand that the usage of words is dependent on time of application, and 'nation' and 'world' is dependent on the individual perception of them. To the Romans, the world was the empire, to a Hebrew it meant a much smaller aspect, and to think that even much later than that some thought the world was flat.
However, Christ said that the gospel would be preached to the entire world, and IMHO, He know the width and breath of the world He created; Therefore, my opinion stands on that matter and His words making all other opinions a mute point. I am sure we disagree on this point and many others, but at least you and I are adult enough to agree to disagree while respecting each other opinions.
