    Annual fall camping/fishing trip 2020

On October 29th, 30th, and 31st the men in my Sunday school class and I did our annual fall fishing trip up to Stockton. When we left the house Thursday morning it was 44* and pouring down rain. Not a great start but after planning it six months in advance you just have to take what you can get. By time we got our camp set up it had quit raining but remained overcast and breezy. We didn't get started fishing until about 1:30 in the afternoon but that was plenty of time to bring in a few limits of those big, fat white bass for the fish fry Friday night. We had a bonus walleye, a couple 18" bass and a few 2-3 pound cat fish to boot. The weather faired up Thursday evening and the Lord blessed us with perfect conditions the rest of the weekend. Evenings around the campfire were a delight. We wound up staying at the group site at Ruark West and it was perfect. Lots of fun, lots of food, and face to face fellowship..... it was awesome. Can't wait til the May trip now....

Overall this years trip was a raging success.... The Corp kept their sites open for a few more weeks this year because of the Covid-19 delay back in the spring. We stayed at the group site at Ruark West and it worked out very nicely for us. Fun trip...
