    Fulton F2 1600 installed on RT 188

Replaced the original winch with the Futon F2. Since I seem to have to winch the boat up at a lot of ramps , I wanted something a little stronger. Under 100 dollars on Amazon. Time will tell if it was worth while.

Let us know how much of a difference it makes winching up. I also have a lot of shallow ramps that require winching the boat up!

Makes a ton of difference, installed an F2 earlier this year, also replaced the trailer jack with an F2...two of the best upgrades I've made

Love my F2 2000lb model, and upgraded Stoltz bow roller.

I've been eyeballing those as well. Make sure to watch the mount down by the main trailer frame. Mine cracked at the weld, I re-welded it and it's been ok since. Probably should've added a gusset.

Being old and not in as good of shape as I once was I put the F2 3200 lb on my Tracker 185 XT - LOVE IT!

Fulton double wheel jack is next

I have the same boat and year as you, and installed the F2 trailer jack. Sorry, I don’t remember the model number but it’s a 1,600lb with the single wheel, 8” I think it is. Just be sure it’s the model with the lowest collapsed height, it’s a tight squeeze on our trailers the way it’s designed. Bolted to original mount and adjusted all the way to one side it just clears the frame tipped handle back. I can also fold it wheel back tho it does rub the frame a little. I’ve seen pictures where longer (more lift height) ones were mounted on RT’s but the lock had to be modified to lock it on an angle - not a look I wanted.

One thing to consider about a 1600# winch - The 188 weighs 1200, port console is 125, motor is 360, 19gals of gas is 152, 3 27series batts are 180, bring over 2,000. TM, fishing gear, etc will add to it. I'd recommend nothing less than a 2000# hitch.

Fulton 1500 XLT weld on, winch is the 2000lb version...

I have to push/maneuver the boat in the garage (angled) and the independent wheel makes a ton of difference...

Looked, did not see a Fulton 1500, rated at 2000 lbs.

My F2 reads 1600 on the box and is a improvement on my smaller RT178. It feels much smoother and definitely built better but there’s no safety strap had to add one.

Just replaced the original jack with a Fulton 1500 lb. jack. Under 100.00 and very sturdy, 8 inch wheel and fits perfect.
