2003 stratos 185 seats

The driver/passenger seats on my 185 set on the fiberglass step. There is no carpet under the seats and doesn't appear to ever had any there. The seats are held in place with a L brackets from the seat bottom to the fiberglass step.
I took the seats out and fixed the bent brackets and noticed 2 holes on the fiberglass rise that meets the carpeted deck that I am guessing were for a attachment bracket to hold the seat from pivoting forward .

My question is what is below the fiberglass step where the seats set? I assume the gas tank is on the backside of the seat, but can someone shed some light on what is under the seat platform

I don't know for certain how your boat is built but on my 2004 195 pro xl the gas tank is L shaped and extends under the seats.

Jimmy, how many gallons is your tank?

My fuel tank is ~ 40 gallons. When I replaced the carpet in my boat I removed the seat pan and had access to the tank. I replaced my fuel line, fittings and pickup tube while I was in there.
