What started out as Veterans Choice Program then went to 40 choice, and now called Community Care Program has gotten harder and harder to use, or is it just me.

Tri West was the administrator of these programs and it is taking longer and longer to get appt through them. The VA automatically denies any thing that is submitted by my local Dr saying that they can provide the services at the VA Hospital. But most appt from them are at least 3 months out. So I have to contact my Community Care Program case manager to get her to have my Dr resubmit it and she intercepts it and approves it when she sees it

I learned yesterday that starting in March or April that Tri West will no longer handle setting appt. but it will be taken over by the VA itself for outside services

I should state that I have been in the program since it all started and never had a problem till the last 6 months. I meet or exceed all requirements needed but seems like they are making it harder to use
