Thumbs Up Lake Hamilton report- Monday to Thursday

First time on Lake Hamilton. Beautiful and uncrowded. Fishing was decent, started slow but got better as I figured them out. Caught 8-10 fish each morning by 10:00, 10-12 each evening from 4-6. Best baits were square Bill and Nero rig in the am, Pop R and Bandit 200 in the pm. Best colors on cranks was red craw and chartreuse shad. Did catch 2 over 4 on back to back casts near Bull Bayou bridge. Caught mainly spots in the River part of the lake, and more largemouth past Hwy 70 bridge. A lot of bait suspended and bass near them were hard to catch, caught most of my fish off wood in 6-8:ft of water. Not much current being pulled and may have helped if it was. Gorgeous lake with all the fall foliage, darn full of docks like Lake of the Ozarks. Wife and I really enjoyed everything in Hot Springs and surrounding area.We will be back.

    It's a great lake until it's water ski/tubing season.
