    Swannundaze

Hello! Hoping there are a few fly tying guys that could help me. A friend gave me his dad's fly tying stuff. There are several coils of this item called Swannundaze. Anyone know what it is used for?

It’s old school material to tie ribbed section of flies. It was popular back in the 80s. My grandpa used to use it before I was even alive

I loved that stuff for tying very realistic stone fly nymphs. You could hold it under hot water and stretch it too, so you could make it thinner.

Still have some tucked away in a box, good stuff once you're used to it.

I use the plastic stuff the kids use for stringing beads. Mostly on bonefish flies. Can get it at wally world cheap. The hot water works on it as well. Generally use clear as it will show the color of the thread underneath.
