River slime on your tin. Can it be prevented?

Any environmental safe ideas to keep some the the river slime off the boat?
After a half day of fishing, I get one heck of a "bath tub ring" on the boat.

I spray and wipe my white Triton aluminum down with Lucas Slick Mist every trip. Shines up the paint real nice and after a couple uses, the slime or discoloring won’t be as bad. A friend of mine who drag races got me using it. He uses it on his cars to prevent the rubber from his tire burnouts from sticking bad. Others products are out there, but the Lucas spray is available at Walmart, Advance Auto, Auto Zone, etc. Cost around $8-10 a bottle and will last a long time.

I use a mist as well, just a different brand. I used BBS forever and will likely go back if I ever run out of the cases I bought last time. Wipe it down, it won't stop the "racing stripe", but it makes them a few min wipe down job when you come off the water. I'm glad I have a non painted boot.

Thank you, I'll give that a try.

I have a camouflaged boat, so the ring does not show up to bad on the boat, but a whole different story on the Talon Brackets, Jack Plate, Ladder, and Motor.

I use a mix of 50/50 vinegar and water. Spay and towel off as soon as you put it on the trailer. Then use Bass Boat saver or Slick mist afterwards. The most important thing I found out was to not let the scum line get dry on the boat.

I used Bass Boat Saver until I tried Topcoat F11. It's expensive, but worth every penny.

I don't think you can prevent it on any boat including fiberglass in any water that is somewhat enriched like the Arkansas River. As Cape Fear said, wiping when wet will save you a lot of frustration later.

I very seldom have any ring on mine using the Slick Mist occasionally but ever so often when river fishing I do.

I just use Awesome (from Dollar General) and it takes it right off.
