Bravo prop
What size Bravo 1 prop would be best for a 250 SHO. '08 TRX 21-XP with 10" Atlas & 2 8' poles.

OK so nobody knows, huh. How about a Tempest, fury or whatever. Will see if someone on the Yamie forum knows. I guess nobody runs a SHO on a Triton just Mercury.

Was told the 27p was too much. That 4 stroke props need to be downsized 1 or 2 pitches, or more. Running a 27p Bravo 1 XS/FS, reworked by Mark.

My buddy has a 250 SHO on a 721 Phoenix and he runs a 26 Bravo 1 XS. He's running 76/77 MPH so he says. I've been in it up to 74.5 or so with a full tx load. I know it's not a Triton, but is similar with a SHO.

I am currently running a Bravo 1 XS/FS, which can be used on a 2 or 4 stroke. When Mark reworked my prop, he drilled the extra holes for it. Those holes have 3 solid plugs, if I'm not mistaken. To me it runs fine with it, I have backed off at 72 with some pedal left. Now that's me and a light load. The only reason I asked is I have been told several times that it is too much pitch. Mark said this would work fine for my boat, however I wasn't running dual power poles at the time. Personally, I can't see the difference with them. I don't know the wot rpm as I've only had it to 5850 with some left. My SHO is a 2009 with a 2012 powerhead replaced under warranty by Yamaha, not rebuilt. Just don't want to do harm to the motor. Below is a pic of my prop. Thanks guys for all the input. It is really appreciated.

Id say your rpms are in range if you're at 5850 with some left. You could try a 26p. May like it better in warm water. Totally different set up for me but i swap between a 27p and 28p depending on water temps.

I hope so jd. Are you still running your TR21 with the Pro XS?

I have a 03 tr21 with a 250hpdi and t1 props.

Oh OK......for some reason, thought it was a Pro XS.

That 27 bravo is just a 26 cupped up to 27. Load it up and seeing what it does is the only way to know.
