    Another vault hub question

I have a brand new trailer (3 months old) and i notice that there is splattered grease on my rim. What does this mean?

If the splattered grease is on the inboard side of the wheel it is more than likely you have a bad inner seal. If your vault hub indicator still indicates sufficient grease, recommend you clean it up really well and re-check it the next time you arrive at the ramp. If it spewed more grease you’ll need to replace that seal asap.

Mine is over a year old and has had some LONG trips..
I noticed after the first 900 mile round trip there were a few splatters on the outside of the wheel which would indicate a leak at the outer cap. After cleaning it up it didn't show again until another long trip.
.Leaks only get worse so I will watch it close for now and then pull it this winter. Odds are a touch of red rtv silicone will seal it.
