Yea I don’t want to be one of those people that finds negative in everything but it needs to be rated for 90hp. Hopefully there’s an option to remove that front livewell also.

Just built it my way and it came just over 31 k. Not to shabby! Put the 75 Merc on it and you've got a great 40 mph boat. Should compete nicely with the trackers and Rangers in that class..

I like it! It’s the perfect size for me considering most of my lakes are under 1000 acres some as small as 50. I’m not a fan of the front livewell either, maybe a storage option will be available in the future.

That’s in the ball park For just a basic set up. My 2021 1880 was 40 k. Loaded including freight and prep.

Yes, I have to think it is aimed at the "entry-level" market, and they don't want it to steal any sales away from their current models. The layout is more like a Tracker style boat, and maybe the front livewell is aimed more at the crappie fishermen. I do agree that it seems underpowered with a 60 - 75 HP rating - it really needs a 90 to get up and perform well.

I think if you dug a little deeper with a dealer or Vexus rep, you would find the front livewell is actually an option-meaning standard would be storage but is easily changed into a livewell for the aforementioned crappie fisherman.

OK I do kinda like the layout. Would rather have that front livewell for tackle storage. Wonder how many rods you can pile into that narrow side box without it becoming crowded? Pretty sure with a 75hp, Ultrex, couple 9" graphs, and good onboard charger you're knocking on $30000+ on price. This boat does look like it would be a good option in the "big enough and fast enough" category for the average joe on a budget. I like the direction the new generation of tin bass boats is headed.

The rod locker looks just like the one on the Ranger RT178's and I can fit about 10-12 rods pretty easily if they are in rod gloves.
