    1989 stratos 179v w/ evinrude XP150 top speed?

I have a 1989 stratos 179v with a evinrude XP150 Cross flow with 110psi on all cylinders, 6” setback manual jack plate and a 23p 4blade shooter prop. What should my top speed be on that setup?

Nice boat . I had one in the day and there was not GPS . The speed-O-meter was way off...70mph. The dealers back then would say they was a 70 mph boat . All of them with a 150 Hp motor '' sale's ".
With a health motor and the boat not water log ....55-60 mph lite .
They was quick littler boats ,and the Ranger 340 V which was a 16 foot boat rated for a 150 hp motor .

I'd think you'd be about 60-65 depending on load. My 2000 venom 18 jav with a 115 would run 55 with a raker, and that was gps. 50 with a 4 blade gade.

You would be mid to upper 50’s. 60ish max. Good boats for their time. I had one that we put a 225 on it had a blast with it. It was a hand full with 225 turning original 26 raker 6,000-6,200 RPM’s.
