    2017 skeeter ZX 255 speed

2017 zx225 SHO 225hp, boat doesn’t have lift? Getting 61-63mph. 4 dots showing on manual jackplate. Boat has poles as well. Just seeing what everyone else with this boat jackplate and speed is. Thanks

What prop are you running and at what RPM? This is a 70-72mph boat all day.

You might need to lower the jackplate if it's not lifting. As said before, it should easily run 70+ mph.

I have a hydro plate, so I have no idea what that is equal to on a manual plate. I have tried many props, but I prefer the Tempest over all others. The 25p is the best all-around.

It has the Yamaha prop that came with the boat. T1? I believe the jackplate is low. But not lifting it should go down. I’ll see if I can lower it and get 70 out of it.

What RPM are you turning? I would suggest 2.75” prop to pad and adjust from there up 1/4” at a time.

7 dots showing is factory setting. You should be 70+ mph with the stock manual jack plate set and 2.75 P2P setting. Rooster tail should be motor height at wot as well. If none of the above I would check my prop. My 2 cents

So with 7 dots showing that’s factory, and mine is showing 4. So it would need to be raised? But then I definitely loose any lift. And wot is 5700rpm. And it’s shooting a rooster tail higher than motor.

You probably need to check the HotFoot. You might not be getting WOT. You should be able to turn the stock prop 6000+ rpms with a light load.

Manually go out and measure your prop to pad with everything level. 2.75” should be very close to your sweet spot. Where do you have all your tackle packed in the boat? Has the prop been reworked?

The Tempest did not work for me. I have a new one with a Mercury hub and Yamaha hub with less than 1.5 hours on it I will sell or trade for Yamaha 25

Once the jackplate is set get some cup added to your prop. Did wonders for my boat with the T25
