2014 Chevy 1500 Trailer Plug Issues

I hook my boat up to neighbors truck, lights are all fine. Mine I get partial ones to work, intermittenly. Took a 4 way plug in tester and it gives me 1 light out of 3 green. All 4 fuses in box are ok, and puzzling also there at 3 10amp and 1 20 amp and the 20 amp is lit up red? Any ideas.

Some trucks are a real bear to get the plug all the way in. Be sure the latch in the cover can grab the nib on the trailer connector to verify it is in far enough. I’ve been burned by this several times even though I know it’s an issue.

My 2014 2500 has a round 7 flat connector and I use an adapter to make the connection to my boats 4 flat. My pontoon boat has breaks so a 5th wire is necessary (blue wire) and it is a 5 flat. I believe the brake wire is a 20amp.
I agree with wmitch2 above, check your ground.
