    Fishing Boot Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good boot that is warm and waterproof for fishing the fall/early spring.
I will be using them while bass fishing from my boat. I am looking for someones opinion on comfort and warmth.
    Thanks in advance.

Muck boots, chore line. Very comfortable and simply a water boot.

Muck Arctic Excursion Ankle. Easy on/off and I've worn them for a couple yrs now fishing in the Fall from my boat. I did put a Dr. Scholls insert in mine for more comfort.

Get a pair of Gore-Tex hiking boots a size larger than normal. Wear high quality wool socks under them.

No shoe is colder than a tight shoe.

Merrill MOAB is a good one. Light weight, water proof and very comfortable.

I love the old-school LL Bean ankle-high boots. I just wear heavy socks and they are very warm, dry, and comfortable.

I just got a pair of Muck Neo overshoes, I wear them over my sneakers (heavy wool socks too). Easy on/off. Waterproof and lightweight.

Not a boot, but the Brooks Ghost GTX running shoes work great. Gore-Tex liner,

this is what I wear too. Love Merrill hiking boots. My other option is Irish setter mudtrek boots that I use for ice fishing. It’s so warm I wear regular cotton ankle socks with those even when it’s below 0

Oboz or Vasque, both make great waterproof hikers.

Thanks for all of the responses. I'll be checking them out all today on line.
With the muck ones do you need heavy socks? I like to wear a regular sock with a insulated boot. To heavy of sock makes your feet sweat then you get cold.

Short boot, over-sized, single pair of quality, wool blend sock.

Boot should not be tight to allow good blood flow. Muck type boots are open at the top, so heat can escape easily. Cut the toes off of a big sock, to make a tube. Pull it up over your good sock. You can pull it down over the "open" top of the muck style to slow the heat loss. If walking, don't cover the boot top so heat doesn't build up so bad and cause increase sweating. Once you are done walking (sitting on deer stand or standing fishing), you can cover the opening to reduce heat loss. Best of both worlds.

I've been fishing the last several years wearing Asics Goretex running shoes. Keeps my feet dry and warm with only a pair of wool socks. Has actually worked better than a pair of insulated boots and are very light weight.

Second this. Hard to beat a good pair of duck boots. I don’t have the LL Bean version but I have a pair of Sperry duck boots that have served me well. Add a good pair or socks and you’re in business.

A friend of mine that fishes at night and cold weather gave me good advice once. Wear something comfortable, but more importantly can be kicked off easily if you fall in.
