    Chicamauga boat ramps

Me and my son will be staying in Dayton next week, Thought it might be easier to find another Ramp down lake, and drive to fish the end closer to the Dam, I seen Pine Harbor and Harbor Lights. What would you suggest for a ramp from Dayton that is easy to get to and safe to leave vehicles ? Thanks

PS If you have a fishing tip I will take that too

Chester Frost park on Hixson pike in Chattanooga, Holly Circle in Soddy-Daisy. TVA ramp at the dam, off Hwy 153.

Honestly I think you will have better success up the river from Dayton, or come down to the canal and go across and up the Hiwassee River.
If I wanted to fish close to the Chick dam I would go to the TVA ramp at the dam off Hwy. 153 as noted above. With the water falling, it's a ramp and area that it's hard to get into trouble at.
Just pay attention to how far you back in and when on the water, pay attention to the depth.
When running, stay in the channel.

As far as tips, go as shallow as you can in the cuts and coves with a 1/4 oz. lipless crank bait.
If around grass, a frog is your friend.
