    Which spinning rod brand?

Thinking of purchasing a spinning rod. I have two brands in mine The G Loomis NRX 872 S or the Kistler Z Bone. I heard the Z Bones are pretty stiff. Anyone have both and how they compare?

    Later, Daman

I have no experience with the Kistler but can tell you the 872 NRX is the best all purpose spinning rod I've ever put my hands on

What are you looking to do with it? Another legendary, high end spinning rod that gets rave reviews is the Daiwa Steez AGS 76MML... amazing rod.

Before you buy check out Cashion rods. I wish I would have before I bought some of my rods I have.

Sorry for just getting back, family medical problems. Anyway the rod will mostly be used as a walleye rod. Casting a jig with plastics or Rippn Raps.
    Thanks for getting back guys!

I'd suggest an HMG, but think I am a little under budget.

Hope your family is well now.

Tfo has a line of walleye rods that look nice. My next rod purchase will be one of these. Always liked a shorter rod for walleye fishing, got a few 6 ft spinning rods, nearly 30 years old, that I still break out for marble eyes.

+1. The 872's are probably the most versatile around. That said, if you are REALLY into drop shotting, the DSR NRX's are the top of the heap.
