    Last Bass

Before you put the rods up for good what size bass do you want to go out on? I'll say over 5lb. and a nursing home pond don't count.

If you’re referring to dying, then I’ll take a 24 pounder.

I don't care, rods will be put up only when I'm no longer able to fish in any way. And if the last fishing trip I take involves catching fish then I'll go out happy, probably the same day.

If you mean for the season I’d say 8+. Forever ? Who cares, fishing is insignificant.

That's right. It's about a lifestyle and forming bonds with others that enjoy the same. The equipment is pretty cool too

I figure I will be white perch(crappie) fishing a while after I get thru chasing the bass. It's much easier to sit and dunk a minnow and sometimes it's more fun

Nursing home pond should count, who's to say how big a body of water has to be before you can count a fish as your personal best? I'm in at 7#s....preferably a smallmouth

Before I hang everything up, I would like to see any of my grandkids catch a record of any species. My oldest granddaughter ( 25) lives in Mn. now, she is on those walleyes and pike every chance she gets.

Yup, all I'm looking for is at least a decent tug on the line and don't care what kind of fish it is. I would like to catch at least a couple confirmed double digit bass here in Arkansas but that will probably be easier said than done. We do see a couple in the 8# range every year come out of the lake I fish mostly and that's usually in the Winter. In the Summer I'm addicted to catching gills and Kentucky's off deep structure. That's the happiest you'll see me on the water even though I'm sweating my balls off.
