Came from Xi5 to Ultrex and scratching my head

I came from Xi5 105 to Ultrex 112 and scratching my head. 75% of my fishing is trolling with trolling motor, each trolling motor was linked to its respective fish finders at the time. My current Link 112 Ultrex is connected to a Solix G2.

Problem is boat won't follow North, in legacy or advanced worth a dang. I will see the projected line on the solix and boat is always drifting away from it. I just don't get it, I have calibrated two times now, played with scale. I have followed the contour with a little better success. Puck is mounted at console free from any magnetic interference. I have had this ultrex on two different boats and same result. With my xi5, I could point into the wind and would track all day. With ultrex I have to crank speed way above what i want to troll at to keep a remotely straight line.

Any tips, ideas to try?

Try setting the cruise control on the speed you need along with autopilot

When you say crank the numbers, are you talking the numbers on the wheel or the speed of the boat? Have you adjusted the boat scale? Bob
What do you mean follow North?
