Tell us more.
I cut my “whiskey teeth” on Crown. At the time I enjoyed it very much and still keep a bottle on hand for the occasional guest who enjoys it.
As my taste changed / matured I have moved on to either Kentucky’s or Tennessee brands and on occasion some rarer versions.
It is literally a Water Break...it an initiative to get to people to drink water during games between glasses of Crown

I'm sorry that people have to drink Crown...

People drink what they like, who cares.
It's good with a mix, not my choice on ice.
I usually avoid blends, but their rye is pretty darn tasty!
Given a choice between Crown Royal and water, it's water every time. Bourbon is the true whiskey, and yes I'm from Kentucky.
When I worked as a bartender decades ago, there was a trendy drink, not really that special, of Crown Royal and Royal Crown. Royal Crown is RC Cola for those that don't know. The idiots tried to call it everything under the sun, some of the most popular; Double Crown, Double Royal, The Royal, The King, The Queen < those were normally order based on the gender of the person ordering. The trend persisted for almost a year. We(all of the bartenders) thought it was just a ploy to get RC Cola's numbers up

Drinking Crown Royal is kinda like drinking Lite Beer. There is a time and a place for lite weights but not preferred.

I have a Bottle of Crown Royal that my son gave me on my 32 nd Birthday still in the box . I finally went into rehab and haven't had a drink since I 'm 83 now and its still unopened. At the time my preferred drink was Bombay Gin , or Jack Daniels (FES313) Funny you should mention the RC Cola bit, as when I was a bartender way back when also that was a fad or CC and coke Blah.
I used to buy Crown royal at the class 6 for my Granny when I came home on leave , she seemed to like it and was appreciative to have something better than that bleep bleep bleeepity moonshine as she would say.
