    Weiss Lake
    Lake Barkley
They are many more examples just a few off the top of my head.
The answer must lie somewhere in the canal between LAKE Barkley and Kentucky LAKE.

I almost didn't buy a Lakemaster chip because on review of the lake list it didn't have one lake that I fish frequently. Then upon second examination I saw that the lake was listed by its actual name, not what everyone around here calls it.

Lived in MN 46 years and have never heard Lake Rainy. Maybe a Nodak thing.
There was a time that I didn't fish but I cannot remember it.

It depends on which way the lake flows. In the Northern Hemisphere if it flows South to North the word Lake comes first. In the Southern Hemisphere if it flows North to South it's called a river.......or was it the other way around?

There is definitely an issue about Oneida, I too have been corrected and now I don't remember what is correct! Maybe is has something to do with who named it first, English or French explorers. The French would have lake (Lac) first.
