In my typical grinding fashion, going right back to Newfound on Sunday... Think my fail was not looking deep enough last time - deciding ahead of time that they would be near the flat edges. Going to trust in sonar completely... find the bait, find the bass. Weather-Underground is calling for high winds of 4MPH and 65 degrees after noon:) Crankbaits and jerkbaits if shallow; blade baits, jerks and swimbaits if deep. 1/2 oz DS if bunched up. Might dig some jigging Raps out of the ice box, if I can remember to.

I am going to hit Newfound on Saturday afternoon. When i was there last weekend my best luck was 40' to 50'. Only having the afternoon i am not sure how much exploring i will do unless i can't find anything there again.

Took the 'yak to the Merrimack for a couple of hours - I've never seen the river so low in 30 years. Water temp is 46. Got three good ones (including a 3+) and a squealer on a Rippin Rap (along with a dozen crappie and big 'gills). Probably drop it in Lake Todd tomorrow and try to get a big LM.

Got out for a few hours this afternoon. Found a couple at 50' on a drop shot. Water temp came up to 54. Tried some shallow jerk bait and swim bait but got nothing. It was glass calm out there today

Take my money We fished from about 9:30-2:00 with no confirmed bites, once again. Dropped it into Massasecum on the way back, and couldn't get bit their either:(

I believe I saw you come into Sanborn Bay (white Talons?), drop TM and start fishing without graphing around. We were over there struggling on the west side in the red/gray Ranger, and admired the confidence with which you did so

Just got home from fishing Newfound with Jim R. Mega slow. Fish just aren't where they've always been, or they've changed what they want, or they just still weren't in the mood. One smallie each for us, he also got a salmon and I got my biggest rainbow so far, somewhere in the 4-5 lb range. On a Spybait to boot.

Was on Squam today and found a 3, 2.5 and a couple of 1.5 deep. The bigger ones hit like it was the only food they have ever seen. The 2 smaller ones were just dead weight.
