    300XS 2 Stroke/5 blade prop

Has anyone run a 5 blade on a 300xs 2 stroke. I have run tons of 3 and 4 blades, over and thru hub exhaust. Curious on how a 5 blade might work.

It all depends on work but you have but a five blade On Pretty much any bass boat may work the same a five blade has no speed whatsoever but it’s got a lot of pulling power to pull skiers out of the water or for tubing and it gives you a lot of stern lift. Some of the guys that run the bigger Northern Lakes in the winter time will run a five blade in rough water

Most of the large diameter 5 blades have too much blade area.... They dont even have a good holeshot.

Thanks for the replies. I was just curious as they seem to be working very good on the 300’s. I know the hours have tons more torque than the two strokes.

I agree, I think too much surface area. I run a Bravo 27 on mine during the summer months and still seeing 80+ with it on my Phoenix. Shoots out of the hole like a rocket as well.

Depending on which wheel Dean. I have seen a drag 5 run really well on a 300 xs like yours on a XB21. The guy hated the surging out of the hole but prop was a rocket even with surging issue. The 300R's have no issue pulling most any 5 blade as I have tested many on mine. The 30 drag 5 I tested was wicked quick on my Ally but way to small on topend (dang 6400 rpm limiter) lol

Dean I've got a Max5 in 28 pitch that was worked some before I purchased it.. It has 8 pvs holes, with all plugged on my 250R I have to lower j-plate to keep from blowing out on hard takeoff.
I'm waiting to get a shoulder rebuilt (Chinese flu) has everything shut down again. I'll be down 3 months after it's done would be glad to let you try it.
