Does Daiwa have a small reel comparable to the curado 70

Does Daiwa make a reel with SV spool that is similar in size to a curado 70?

I believe that is the steez ct sv. Very expensive but looks sharp. They seem to have more jdm models that are smaller.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I do not want a reel with the T-wing. I plan to use this reel with a long leader and the t-wings dont work well for this.

You might consider a lightly used Alphas Sv105. They can be had for well under $200 and as low as $140-150. The Alphas CT SV is another good choice but it will be over $200.

This is exactly what I was coming in to say. I've seen the CT SV pop up for less than $200 on eBay in used condition a couple times, for what it's worth, but they're usually gone fast at that price. The SV105 is a fantastic finesse casting reel.

Another reel to consider if you're just looking at finesse casting reels is a PX68 (a "Pixy"). They don't have an SV spool though which I know you mentioned wanting. Probably a better distance casting finesse reel while the Alphas SV models will handle lighter stuff with fewer headaches.

Re: leaders on T-wings (and feel free to ignore if this is sending things sideways too much): I've heard a lot of folks say this, yet I have no issues unless I'm trying to get a leader knot of 50 lb braid to 25 lb fluoro into the reel which admittedly does cause problems. I cast 16 lb fluoro leader knots to 30 lb J-braid through my T-wing reels all day long without issue.

I have a Sol that I use an Alphas SV spool in. It's a very lively little reel that can handle a wide range of baits. I use it for light balsa cranks, but could easily be a bfs in my opinion.

You can get the Daiwa alphas ct sv for under $200 from Amazon Japan. Just switch your settings to Japan on your Amazon app.
