New Update to Vessel View Link ?

There's a version 20.1-64.1.18 now available. Hopefully it has the fix for the Troll Control "Helm Must Be Active" problem.

Alas, I won't be able to tell until I get the update installed and hit the lake. I downloaded the file, copied it to a micro SD card, popped it into the HDS12 Live, browsed over the file, clicked on it, and the HDS proceeded to copy and install the update.

It took 30 minutes for the HDS to transfer the 15 megabyte file via NEMA 2000 over to the vessel view link. That appeared to be successful. Then it proceeded with installing the update and at about 30% it said "FAILED" and that perhaps I was trying to install an older version than was already installed....... Sigh

Oh, well, I'll crawl under the helm tomorrow with another SD card and try the direct method.

Update: Yep. Have to use the direct micro SD card method. This is unfortunate since you get zero feedback on what the VVL is doing. You simply have to wait........ and wait some more......until finally, communication with the engine is finally restored. Thanks for checking out that the troll control works now for us wallyandre

Yes, same by me. Only possible to update in the SD-slot in the VVL.
Hope the SW solved the issue with troll Control :-)

Vaguely remember this the last update. Actually have to dig out the link module and plug into that which differs from an HDS update. For me that means taking the console apart.

I had to give 3-4 try before he accept the update

I've been anticipating this update all season long, now that the boat is in storage, I won't be able to test it out until next spring. They will probably release a new update that breaks some other feature by then.
