Friend is getting a GN4 Di unit and Mega 360. Can he run 360 and the DI transducer to the same unit? Will he need a Y cable? Also are you able to run 360 and DI at the same time split screen?

Humminbird units have a single transducer port. The MEGA 360 connects to the transducer port and uses the two SI circuits.
It REPLACES SI with a SI+ model and ADDS SI to a DI+ model.
To connect another transducer whether it is a Humminbird transducer or Minnkota transducer takes a Y cable.
Yes you can have split screen MEGA 360 with DI or with 2D, or with Chart, or three panel view with 360 and 2D/DI.
The MEGA 360 does 360 or SI, but not at the same time.

50/50 is default, then there is 40/60, 30/70, and 20/80
SOLIX units can have custom views created but the panels are not adjustable in any manner.
