Best reel for throwing spinnerbaits?

I want to invest in a top quality left hand bait casting reel to throw spooks and spinnerbaits etc. I don’t mind investing 500 or so. What would be my best option for my 7 foot med/heavy IMX or St. Croix rods. Time to upgrade from my collection of 20yr old Curados, lol. Thank you for your suggestions, Allen

I really appreciate all the suggestions. I failed to ask what is everyone’s preference on the ratio? 6.3, 7.1. 8.1? I would assume the lower ratio to slow roll the lure and to use the faster ratio to pick up slack line when pitching etc. Thanks, Allen

I like the power of a 6 ratio for anything other than burning super shallow water

Unless you have a heavy spinnerbait with big over sized blades most any standard reel will suffice fine. If you use these heavier spinnerbaits and fish them slower and deeper I would stay in the 5:1 to 6:3 range. I would also opt for an aluminum reel with brass gears. If you are burning them or trying to wake them I would look for a 7:1 ratio or higher.

I prefer a 5:7 or 6:3 ratio reel. TDZ100m or OG Zillion 6:3

Love my old Steez, but have cast spinnerbaits with almost every reel I have. Only reason some haven't been used to cast a spinnerbait is because they haven't been used yet.
