721 with merc 4stroke speed and prop question??

I sent my prop off to mr croxton and just got in back..fully loaded with 3/4 fuel it is running 6050 rpms and 76 hit 77 for a minute....my question is I need a spare should I stay with the 24 or get a 25? Will a 25 handle any better than my fury 24?

I have a 721 with a 2 stroke Mercury. I have two props I run during the year, a 25&26p. Which ever I'm not running is my spare. The 26 runs better in cooler months, but the 25 is better in warmer months especially when tournament loaded.

Running a 300 on my 721...27 Fury and 27 Bravo, which ever is not on it is my spare. Always good to have a back up prop just in case. A buddy has the 25Fury on his 920 and it wont spin up full rpm even on the 300 four stroke..

The 25 may be about 1-2 mph faster on that boat. Buddy this spring ran a stock 24 about 76 mph with a light load. I let him borrow my 25 which was worked by Mark for my boat. He ran 78 with that prop. Same boat as yours. The 24 ran better during the summer for him and handled alittle better compared to the 25 as well.

I had a bent ear and he reshaped it and did whatever he does but since u say that I can remember asking him about it when it was new and he didnt wanna mess with it . He felt like a fury out of the box is hard to beat
