CX20 vs CX21 top end speed,

Is the CX 21 a little faster than the 20 like the triton?

I think in most applications the 20 will be a little faster, depending on how they are loaded you may find a few 21 as fast as a 20

Had mine out this weekend CX20, Merc 250. Two guys, fairly loaded with 100% fuel, saw 75 mph GPS @ 6020 RPMs. It was cool and that helped. The crazy thing is the ride, best ride for a 20 footer I've ever been in.

CX20 will be a bit faster than the 21, all depending on setup.

My cx 21 started chine walking at 68 mph so I backed off- gotta learn to drive it I guess. Best riding boat I’ve been in- damn fine boat overall.

had my cx21 at 68 with 3 280lb plus guys and tackle. Got it to around 73 with full tanks and tackle by myself in cool air. Get your plate height right and it won't walk

For what its worth I've had my cx 20 pro 77 twice, and 75, 76 multiple times with a 250 merc pro xs. On a cool morning with a full tank of fuel, and 2 fishermen 74 twice.. I go a good 270 at the moment.

No chine walk for me. The handling of the boat is outstanding. The rear hugs the water but lifts enough to get you up to top speeds. I'm adding two power poles so I expect a little drop in top end. Solo with light gear and 50% fuel I've see 77, and that's at pretty high altitude. I have an atlas 6" and running a 24p. I haven't played with the plate much as I'm still getting used to the boat but I think I could get a little more out of it. I keep my plate on 5 all the time as of right now. The softness of taking front waves is better than any boat I've owned. My former partner ran a Stratos 210 (former Champion hull), and the ride is comparable to this boat. I haven't had it in anything crazy yet, but some rollers on blast off and regular rollers it is an amazing soft ride.

I fished all day in Phoenix 920 thur and we took my caymas Friday. No chine guess partner counter weight stopped it. Ride / handling and everything else I liked better on caymas. Not knocking Phoenix as I had one and it was great just saying the more I’m in the caymas the more I like it. Even the gas gauge started working so have no beef at this time

I know of a guy with a flashed sho running over 80 loaded with a 20. He had a 21 and sold it for the faster 20. I dont think the 21 would crack 75.

The best I have seen so far is 74 in my cx20, fury 24, manual jack. I also always forget to turn off the high speed pick up so, that is with 70% fuel, live wells, tackle, and me, with second person I'm seeing 72 easy. I was also on Texoma a few weekends ago in some fairly good winds. We ran from Platter, to willow springs, and found it easy to maneuver through the troughs at 45 going with wind, and didn't see any side splash, and didn't notice partner being wet. Then going back into them, I found that at about 15-20mph it will keep the nose high and lands really soft over them.

I have a CX21 fully loaded/85% gas no power poles with a 250 and 23 fury with one 100% PVS plug and got 74.3. Had some remaining to go but was pleased. This 21 is one of the best riding boats I've experienced. The CX 20's from my understanding will run 75+. Probably similar to the Tritons
