    ultrex 52 andultrex 45

    I have both currently I have the 52 mounted on my bass boat. If I want to swap motors will I have remove bracket and all or can I leave the bracket on and just swap motors. Thanks

    You can keep the bracket, however you may have to adjust motor so it lays on the motor rest of the mount. If you have the 52" (long) mount, the 45 is going to ride higher on the motor rest, which means you're shallow water adjustment won't be as much.

    I believe Josh Douglas does this (just switches out the steering module and shaft). I don't remember off hand if he uses the long mount or short mount all year. You will have the same shallow water adjustment, but I think what John is getting at is with the 45 on the 52 mount you will have to lower the motor in order to store it properly so you'd being going up and down all the time, where as you would have to raise the 52 to store it properly on the 45 mount.
