    Another item that will work as a bait keeper is a barrel swivel with closed ends on each end. Run your line through one end of the swivel and let it hang on line, tie on the hook as normal with the swivel still hanging up the line. Attach the head of the plastic bait to the hook as normal then grab the end of the hanging swivel and run it onto the hook and slide up to the top. Then Texas rig the end of the plastic bait as usual and voila!
    If this doesn't make sense I believe there is a video on YouTube that shows it.

    another trick that works. Heat the tip of an ice pick and insert into hook hole.

    Perfect idea.....I have had issues with keeping Cabin Creek Tubes from falling. Great bait, but aggravating. Going to try this for sure.

    Another trick for tubes.. cut a short length of regular worm and push it inside tube up to the head..
