A couple of tackle shops I forgot to mention. The Tackle box in South Point OH, and Borders in between Ashland and Cannonsburg KY. They both sell guns also.

Yes, their custom made spinnerbaits and buzzbaits are great.

Grew up in the Kenova area and after high school graduation, moved to Louisiana for college and stayed. I remember the small mouth on the S Branch of the Potomac on weekend camping trips, but nothing local for bass. Twelve Pole Creek fishing for catfish and carp. Love the hunin' in W.Va. and make it back not often enough.

This poor guy probably does not want to move here now. The fishing is not that bad. Should we post some pics of local bass.

I am still moving, sounds like fishing may not be amazing but with I can do good. I also enjoy wading through creeks chasing trout so it appears there are a bunch of options.

Yeah I would definitely recommend the creek fishing for smallies but besides that the bass fishing absolutely sucks anymore in the lakes around that area and Kentucky.

You’ll get lucky and catch a few at Yatesville every once in a while but the fishing sucks there any more. I’ve fished it my hole life and have seen the fishing go to shit. I remember in the spring time back in the early 2000,s having plenty of 18 and 19 pound bags and not even getting in the top 3 and seeing 30-40 boats all have limits but that’s back then when you only seen 2 tournaments a week. Now they have tournaments all through week, several on the weekend and so forth. The lake has the capability to get back to where it once was but it would take a serious management program to get it back where it once again.

Yatesville sucked this spring I believe because everyone was off because of the virus. And the pounded the lake good.
