    VAULT Seal 1.68” > 1.72” Standard

    Hi, I have a question about Vault Seal 2.56” x 1.68” for use with UFP VAULT Hybrid Oil Hubs.

    Most spindles sealing surface is 1.72”
    Is this seal designed at 1.68” to apply more pressure to the standard 1.72” sealing surface of most 1 3/8 and 1 1/16 spindles?

    Or;

    Is it intended for a special sized spindle which sealing surface measures 1.68”?

    It's smaller id is to accommodate the wear sleeve that should be on a vault setup.

    The axles for the Vault system have the smaller diameter spindle, wear sleeve, and seal ID, thus ensuring Dexter plenty of sales. Lol

    The stainless steel sleeve is used on all UFP axles as a replaceable wear piece. The spindles are the same diameter as the grease and oil bath. The sleeve is replaceable rather than having wear on a permanent spindle and having to purchase a new axle. Simply replace the sleeve.
