Point 1 AP

Maybe a dumb question but I recently purchased a Point 1 and when it came it said it was a point 1 AP. After looking at the install directions and researching I see it is for the auto pilot. I also see you can’t use a regular point 1 because it doesn’t work with the autopilot system. My question is can you use the point 1 AP puck on a regular setup like 2 HDS units or it the point 1 AP different?

You can use both, but I would recommend only using the AP P1.
Yes, the AP P1 will work just like the old P1 on your units.
