    help me pick a lake

    Going up to visit friends in the rapids area and going to fish on saturday. Lake camelot, sherwood or wisconsin river what has the best smallmouth population and overall what would you fish?

    I've fished Sherwood & Camelot and have never caught a smallie in either.

    If your going the way of the Wisconsin river, a jet boat with minimal draft is almost needed to get to the real quality smallies, having said that I'm not real familiar with North of the Dells, but about 5 miles South of the Dells you can get into trouble quick

    Its been 25 years but the Biron Flowage has good smallies.

    Fished Sherwood for 3 hours was a nice little lake. Caught 6 Lm on a jerkbait no size but was pretty out there. There seems to be a lot of nice options in that area to fish.
